Curbside Dentistry

In Defence are back with another classic video. I’m old, so In Defence always reminds me of classic goofball punk outfits like Crucial Youth or Quincy Punx. The music is solid, but its the lyrics that set them apart from the crowd (Blind Approach reference there). Funny, goofy, with a heavy twist on mockery. Their albums are great, but it’s in video format, where the lyrics come to life, that these guys really shine.

Support them!

Profane Existence

From PE:
This “mix tape” features most of our current roster. The tracks were taken from recent releases that are still available and in print. The exception being State of Fear and Disrespect, who aren’t active anymore, but were included because their members actively contributed to the life of Profane Existence while they were around… and in Dan’s (Disrespect) case still do! We thought about going back into our catalog and pulling out some of the classic “crust hits” but decided to focus our attention on what’s happening now. Looking back, the mix tape that stood out to me were the ones full of new and obscure bands. They marked different era’s in my life… new discoveries… and that’s why I liked them.

Get it here.

No War But Star Wars

This is the last of the In Defence stuff I can find online. My understanding is that everything is still in print, so I can’t post any music at this point. If I’m wrong, let me know.
Now, since I don’t own any In Defence, I’m going to stop posting and try to find something to buy.

Don’t call me a moshist

Really liking what I’m hearing from these guys. The latest video by these guys is funny, fast hardcore which tells me that these guys not only know how to rock, they get what punk rock is all about. Their previous video (also posted here) was shot inside a Taco Johns. Right on.

Call More Dudes – Live at Taco Johns

Eau Claire, WI – 10/26/07:
When Friday night’s show at Nate’s Dungeon was shut down by the cops, we somehow ended up loading the gear into Taco John’s. Thanks to the help of Taco Sean, history was made.

"Theres a whole lotta hardcore goin on, goin on at Taco John’s!"

Impromptu punk shows are kind of a novilty.   Punk fans of th 90’s will remember Dirt Poor doing a simillar thing in the back of a U-Haul at the Uptown Bar.  That’s pretty punk rock!
