Didn’t you guys put out a 7″ in the mid 2000’slike way after the fact/finally! Oh, and Stumbling upon your website has me really nostalgic..Whatever happened to the Salteens? I remember at least one, maybe a couple of their ‘breakup shows’ in the late 90’s and them talking about putting a 7″ out which never happened. Oh, also the Crusty Hells, remember those guys from the later Bombshelter scene? One of my favs of the era was Man Afraid who you also don’t mention. I’m still exploring, so expect more comments.

This is Timfool, I don’t run this site but have been friends with Dave for years and he forwarded your comment to me. So.
1. Yep, put out a 7 inch in 2005, Extreme Noise still have copies available, they were recently restocked. There is a small chance there may be another posthumous release.
2.I’m pretty sure we played on the Salteens last show. They had way less “final shows” than the Strike did. I think the 7 inch was going to be done by Mutant Pop but it never happened. This is what I know what happened to some of the members: Sturgeon went on to help form the Soviettes. They had a few successful years then broke up but will play the occasional reunion show. Don’t know what happened to Emily and their endless rotating drummers other than Mitch(was in the band very briefly), currently plays in Despise and Mordwolf.
Currently, Sturgeon and Carrie of the Salteens have reunited in the band Gateway District.
3.I remember the name Crusty Hells but really don’t remember them, you know.
4.Mike from Man Afraid died. I’m not sure if anybody else from the band is still playing music.

You said you still have 7” for sale? where can people pick it up?

Locally, Extreme Noise Records still has copies in stock but they don’t do mail order. The label did have some copies on sale on discogs but don’t seem to have any right now but he’s told me if he will relist it later today. Also we are playing a sold out reunion show with a ton of other bands from the mid 90s era at the Triple Rock this Saturday, we will have some for sale there, along with a “new” CD of 12 songs we recorded way back when.
And as a response to the first entry, the Salteens 7 inch finally came out, get it quick, I think there’s only 300+/- copies.
