Useless Endeavors

Fabulous pop-punk from their first CD on Bosstuneage

360 Club

From their second full length, also on Bosstuneage

I gotta admit, I don’t know much about this band other than they had quite possibly the nicest guy on the planet in the band.  Of course, I’m talking about Jason Knudson.  I knew enough to buy both of thier records, but I’m not sure if I ever saw them play live.

Pocket Genius were from Mankato & Minneapols if I remember correctly.  This would have been Jason’t post-Porcelain Boys band.  Pocket Genius has also recently reformed, although without jason.  You can check them out at their website , or you can find Jason here .

Hey, thanks for writing about us! PG started out in 1999-2001, played for a few years then went on hiatus due to different life situations. In 2008 we got things rolling again, brought back original bass player Jeremy Bergo, who previously was playing with Samiam. As far as drummers, Jason was stoked to play but is already playing in 2 other bands, singing in Captain Eleven and playing drums in Black Flag cover band Revenge. Word has it he is drumming in another new band, Old Town Ghosts, can’t wait to hear that. Jason passed the stixx to our good buddy David Jarnstom, who currently plays with Attention. Pocket Genius have some shows coming up this summer and have a whole bunch of new songs. And yes, that love bites song is unreleased, that’s just me dickin around. Thanks again for the post!
