FERD MERT

SURPRISE YOUR FRIENDS!!
(Split with White Frogs)
2001

Perhaps one of St. Paul’s longest lasting unknown pop punk bands.  I can honestly say that I never saw Ferd Mert play.  I never heard their records.  And I just don’t know much about them at all.

I have heard the name a million times, and they used to advertise like crazy.  They seem to on a million comps.   Somehow, I still have no idea who they are.

Make this your introduction to them.  If you like them, they have a bunch of music available on iTunes, and CD Baby.

01 Easy Words (White Frogs)
02 Changes (White Frogs)
03 Summer Days (White Frogs)

04 Censorship (White Frogs)

05 What it Takes (White Frogs)
06 Doce de Leite (Ferd Mert)

07 Just do Something (Ferd Mert)

08 Dogface (Ferd Mert)

09 I Feel Like Shit (Ferd Mert)
10 Lori (Ferd Mert)

Get it here .

Dude, I’m with you! I remember being constantly being bombarded by this band for like ten years before I finally gave them a listen fairly recently. I actually remember them being a fairly commonly mocked band within the MPLS punk community I was part of…Even though NO ONE had actually heard or seen them they were assumed to be pretty ‘Green Day’ at the time.
