My name is Dave, and I grew up in Minnesota listening to the many punk & hard core bands that I'm featuring here. More important though, is that I'm not just posting the stuff that like, but I'm making an attempt to document every band that had something to do with the punk scene in Minnesota. From your Husker Du & Replacements to Dirt Poor & the Kung Fools. Bands that played bars, and bands that played basements and garages. I'd like it all represented here. I'd also like your help. I can't possible do it all by myself, so if you want to see something here, let me know. If you see something on the net that deserves a mention here, let me know. If you'd like to contribute, let me know. If you are in a band that I've posted here, and you want your stuff removed, just ask, and it will be removed. Most of my posts are links to other people's posts. Some of it is from my personal record collection. It is my intent to only post stuff that you can not otherwise buy. Long out of print stuff. If I link to stuff that is in print, I will try to include a link to actually purchase it. That won't happen very often though, since I try to post only stuff that I know to be out of print. If the band has an official website, I'll try to post a link to it. If I get something wrong, or you'd like to contribute something, let me know. Iron Fist holds a special place in my music collection.  They were one of the first punk bands that I saw in Minneapolis.  I know two of the four singers, and quite honestly, there is no greater punk rock demo tape, in the history of punk rock demo tapes, than "Crucify Me".  I found my 47th generation copy of that awesome piece of history just the other day, and once again, I can’t stop listening to it.  Amazing is the only way to describe it.  (I’ll be posting that later in the week!!)

Among their greatest accomplishments is  really bridging the gap between metal and punk in the Twin Cities.   For a time, they were Impaler’s personal warm up band, or at least that’s the way it seemed.  These two tapes are essential, but seek out the studio recordings.  Well worth the effort.

2 great live shows from 1986 & 1987, from a great Minnesota hardcore punk band.  Both of these shows appear to be with the second singer, Jay, that went on to play guitar for the Loudmouths in California.

    are there copies of the studio recordings done with jay and bob at a studio off of nicholette ave in south mpls?

    Ollie made a CD about a decade ago for he and I that was sort of a retrospective of the band, adn it’s many lineups. That CD, titled RAMPAGE, should probably get posted one of these days.

    I ended up with the master tapes to Americore which I passed along to Erick. I think I have a cassette of the Americore album and demos, but they would be buried deep in a box in my basement.

    Oh, and go ahead and post the cd comp. You and I have the only 2 copies ever made.
