Another one that I shot. Also on the bill that night were the Libido Boyz and Inspector 12.
Banner Pilot from Fest 17, in Gainesville, FL
So yes I shot this. This was my first trip to Fest, but it won’t be my last! Minneapolis needs to do something like this.
Marble playing at Matri’s in Mankato. No date on this one. All I know is that they were opening for Big Drill Car. Taken from Mankatoshowpage on YouTube.

I’ll probably get crap for calling them scream-o , but hey…. Discogs called them a hardcore band. Either way, you make the call.
Former members of Libido Boyz, and Downside…this band sounds nothing like that though. They had a few records on Doghouse and Watermark. Check those out if you can still find them!
Porcelain Boys at First Ave.

I think they were opening for the Dead Milkmen this night. Big show for these 17 magazine superstars. Original 3 piece lineup (they started as a 4 piece) that recorded the early EP’s.
Libido Boyz at the 7th St. Entry
May 21, 1989
These were the days for the Libidos. Not sure they could do anything wrong. Those early EP’s were pure gold and the shows in the entry pretty much guaranteed a very hot, sweaty packed room on a Sunday night.
This show was one of the first shows for this short lived 5 piece lineup.
Death Squad at the East Side Armory in St. Paul

Oakdale thrash metal outfit. They played an SOD, DRI style of thrash. This early version features the original singer Bubba. They put out 3 demo tapes with this lineup. They would later change singers and put out a 7″ and a professionally produced cassette album on Sub-Mission Records.
Quincy Punx in the 7th St. Entry

QP’s are a legendary Minneapolis punk band. Politically incorrect jokesters so don’t take the lyrics too seriously. It’s punk rock with a sense of humor.
