From PE:
This “mix tape” features most of our current roster. The tracks were taken from recent releases that are still available and in print. The exception being State of Fear and Disrespect, who aren’t active anymore, but were included because their members actively contributed to the life of Profane Existence while they were around… and in Dan’s (Disrespect) case still do! We thought about going back into our catalog and pulling out some of the classic “crust hits” but decided to focus our attention on what’s happening now. Looking back, the mix tape that stood out to me were the ones full of new and obscure bands. They marked different era’s in my life… new discoveries… and that’s why I liked them.

No Statik
No Statik is a bay area band but with one important tie to the land of 10 bajillion Mosquitoes. Mark Wilcox. Old folks like me will remember him from Destroy! & Impetus Inter. I know him as my former roommate at the THD house. That bastard used to pull his loose hair out of his dreads while showering and leave them hanging on the shower curtain rod for the rest of us to enjoy. Oh, and the only guy in the house to send his clothes home to mom to wash and fold for him. True story. However, Mark is also one of the nicest guys on the planet. The Mark I knew would bend over backwards to help out a complete stranger, and I’m guessing that has not changed.
So while this band may not be from MN, Mark is, and for that I gladly link up this video of their entire set at Chaos in Tejas 2011.
28 Years
Before there was a Slow Death, there was a Pretty Boy Thorson. Check it out.

Gainsville
Live at Fest 10
This video sucks. You can’t see the band. You can’t hear the band. It’s shot mostly under a black light. So why post it? The crowd sang the whole song, that’s why! Maybe I’m jaded. I was at their first show. I’ve seen them play to 20 people. I lived at the THD house, and when I moved out, Billy moved into my room. I’ve seen Paddy’s bare drunk ass more times than I care to remember. I knew these guys back in the day. I guess it’s just hard to imagine that they are this popular….on the other side of the country. I get being popular in Minneapolis…they’re from here. All I can say is Wow!
Now if you want to actually see and hear the band play that same song. Here they are on their home turf.
